Leighah Mago

certified professional midwife, licensed midwife

Hello! My husband and I moved to the DFW from California in order for me to pursue a career in midwifery. While I am the one who received the degree and certification, it was both of us who sacrificed and worked towards this goal. I am forever grateful for my partner’s love and support; he is the best “mid-husband”.

I am deeply honored to hold space for families as “midwife”. Walking with women as they experience conception, growth, delivery and postpartum is sacred work. I have spent time studying midwifery abroad in the Philippines, and have worked with hundreds of women in the U.S. One thing that always rings true, is when a woman gives birth, she is not only birthing her child, but a new form of self. Having a support team, that a family trusts and feels trusted by, will make all the difference as new life is born.

Outside of midwifery I am an avid reader, yoga lover, and writer.

Leighah has a degree in Biblical Studies from Life Pacific University as well as a degree in the Science of Midwifery from the National College of Midwifery. She is currently certified in Neonatal Resuscitation as well as CPR.
